Afghanistan.
Since 2003. Collaboration with local
NGOs in primary/secondary teacher training, vocational education
in rural areas, agricultural production, processing and
marketing, irrigation and village water supply. All those areas
are linked with peace-building measures. This programme is at a
pilot stage.
Benin.
Since 1995. Rural road construction,water supply and health
centres, sustainable agriculture.
Bhutan.
Since 1975. Training of agricultural extensionists, extension
and research in agriculture, livestock and forestry,
construction of suspension bridges, teacher training,
construction of schools, education and training of ministry of
finance officials.
Burkina Faso.
Since 2002. Rural road construction, organic cotton, promotion
and marketing.
Cameroon.
Since 1964. Rural water supply, support of commune councils.
Colombia.
Since 1991.Financial support of CISEC’s «Tropical Agricultural
Project».
Dominican
Republic.
Since 1986.Collaboration with private and state organisations
for promotion of women and small farmer groups. Sustainable
natural resource management, training of veterinary assistants
and young farmers training in didactics as well as teaching and
learning methods, harvest protection/management of the Rio
Macasías catchment, promotion of cultural activities.
Ethiopia.
From 1976 to 1983. Resumption of the past programme in 2002.
Support of local governance, innovation and marketing promotion
in the working area Natural Resource Management, especially
agriculture. Exploring and initiating activities of education.
Guatemala.
Since 1972. Collaboration with farmer organisations on the
Altiplano in sustainable agriculture and marketing, promotion of
the peace-building process and decentralisation and support of
cultural activities. Since 1996 «Project ProBosques» to preserve
resources in the western highland and strengthen community
autonomy. Forestry training in the northern lowlands.
Haiti.
Since 1983. Support of local development processes in the
sectors rural drinking water supply and sanitation, sustainable
agriculture and conservation of biodiversity, adult education
and culture, intercultural exchange with the Dominican Republic.
Kyrgyzstan.
Since 1995. National agricultural advisory service, processing
and marketing. Organic cotton production and trade in southern
Kyrgyzstan. Legal advice to rural citizens, rural enterprise
development with focus on community based tourism, agricultural
vocational education in the Naryn Oblast.
Laos.
Since 2001. Support to the development of a countrywide
agricultural extension service, promotion of production and
marketing of organically produced agricultural products.
Lesotho.
Since 1978. Sector coordination and knowledge management in the
area of rural drinking water supply, promotion of innovation in
the working area Natural Resource Management, especially
agriculture.
Mali.
Since 1977. Support to government and private sector in the area
of water supply, support to agricultural initiatives, production
and trade promotion of orcanic cotton, democratisation and
community promotion, photo centres and cultural activities,
teacher training.
Mozambique.
Since 1979. Reorganisation of the rural drinking water supply
sector and sanitation, strengthening civil society and promotion
of local initiatives, elementary and adult education, income
promoting measures for natural resource products, agricultural
extension and food security, land security issues.
Nepal.
Since 1955. Community-based water resources management and
sanitation, support of local initiatives for the construction of
pedestrian suspension bridges, rural access roads and
improvement of rural infrastructure. Sustainable soil
management, biological pest control and IPM, rural agricultural
extension and support, coffee as a niche product. Informal
vocational training and small businesses promotion, promotion of
local partners, cultural projects, peace-building activities.
Paraguay.
Since 1972. Collaboration with private and state partners. New
programme since 2001: Support of initiatives and activities of
farmer groups and the local population, promotion of learning
processes using new information and communications technologies.
Philippines.
Since 1981. Starting from 2002 collaboration with
nongovernmental organisations and local governments in the rural
development sector, promotion of the national decentralisation
and local governance programme.
Senegal.
Since 2001. Promotion of sustainable agriculture.
Sri Lanka.
Since 1972. Cooperation with various local organisations.
Drinking water supply and construction of latrines, regional and
community development, sustainable agriculture, promotion of
self-help efforts in villages and plantation settlements.
Rehabilitation of families affected by war and implementation of
peace promoting actions.
Tanzania.
Since 1996. Collaboration with the Tingatinga artists’
co-operative in Dar-es-Salaam. Teacher training in English
language teaching and environmental education.
Vietnam.
Since 1994. Agricultural and forestry advisory and training
programme. Rural development programme in the Cao Bang Province
with focus on agricultural and forestry advisory service support
and vocational education. Commune level capacity-building
project on decentralisation and democratisation in the Cao Bang
province. Dissemination of a solar water disinfection system. |
