National Partners in Project Implementation
 

-	Community-based User Committees based on specific tasks (e.g. more than 150 Trail Bridge Building Committees, more than 50 Water and Sanitation Management Committees every year)
-	More than 20 Farmer Associations and Co-operatives based on mostly commodity-specific interests (e.g. Ginger, Coffee, Tea, Non-Timber Forest Product, Vegetable production and marketing)
-	More than 30 Saving and Credit Co-operatives which are mostly supported through the technical expertise of Non-Governmental Organizations
-	More than 150 Local Non-Governmental Organizations implementing projects at local level
-	More than 20 National Non-Governmental Organizations supporting project implementation based on their specific expertise
-	More than 15 representative and advocacy organizations (e.g. Non-Governmental Organizations, Networks, or Federations) working for social inclusion and human rights of all citizens, in particular the socially and economically disadvantaged groups
-	Local and national Consultancy Enterprises which provide specific technical expertise in particular related to civil engineering
-	District Development Committees and its local Line Agency Offices in more than 50 districts
-	All projects of Helvetas Nepal are implemented through Agreements with the government of Nepal. Therefore, various Ministries and their respective Departments, Directorates or Sections are involved and participate in the strategic guidance, review and/or implementation of projects: Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Local Development, Ministry of Physical Planning and Works, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives, Ministry of Commerce and Industries, National Planning Commission.

Besides the above mentioned organizations, Helvetas Nepal collaborates with a large number of other national organizations as and when appropriate. It is one of the principles of Helvetas Nepal to work in partnership with national and local organizations and to refrain from direct implementation.

 International Partners

-	AIN (Association of International NGOs in Nepal): A registered organization of more than 50 international NGOs working in Nepal
-	SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation): The Swiss government's agency for international cooperation finances various projects implemented by Helvetas. SDC and Helvetas have a close and mutually supportive partnership in Nepal.
-	Intercooperation (a Swiss International NGO/Foundation): Consortium member with Helvetas for the implementation of the Sustainable Soil Management Programme in Nepal.
-	Fastenopfer (a Swiss International NGO): Joint implementation for various NGO-support projects in the Mid and Far-Western districts of Nepal.
-	DFID (Department of International Development): The UK government's agency for international cooperation contributes funds to the Helvetas Country Programme under a strategic partnership (SPA).
-	WSP (UK-based private organization): Helvetas provides expertise on livelihood improvements to the WSP-managed Rural Access Programme.
