All projects of Helvetas Nepal are implemented through Agreements with the
government of Nepal. Therefore, various Ministries and
their respective Departments, Directorates or Sections are
involved and participate in the strategic guidance, review
and/or implementation of projects: Ministry of Finance, Ministry
of Local Development, Ministry of Physical Planning and Works,
Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives, Ministry of Commerce
and Industries, National Planning Commission. |
Besides the above
mentioned organizations, Helvetas Nepal collaborates with a
large number of other national organizations as and when
appropriate. It is one of the principles of Helvetas Nepal to
work in partnership with national and local organizations and to
refrain from direct implementation.

organization of more than 50 international NGOs working in Nepal |

Agency for Development and Cooperation): The Swiss government's
agency for international cooperation finances various projects
implemented by Helvetas. SDC and Helvetas have a close and
mutually supportive partnership in Nepal. |

Intercooperation (a Swiss International NGO/Foundation):
Consortium member with Helvetas for the implementation of the
Sustainable Soil Management Programme in Nepal. |

(a Swiss International NGO): Joint implementation for various

(Department of International Development): The UK government's
agency for international cooperation contributes funds to the
Helvetas Country Programme under a strategic partnership (SPA). |

Helvetas Nepal works
with a large number of other international organizations and has
