Helvetas Country Programme 2006-2010
The Helvetas Nepal Country Programme 2006-2010 (HNCP) outlines
the strategic direction for the engagement in Nepal. It provides
the umbrella under which the 16 specific projects and programms
are implemented. The HNCP is a rolling strategy with regular
adjustments based on our learning.
Mission
Helvetas contributes to the
improvement of the living conditions of economically and
socially disadvantaged people in Nepal and to the transformation

The Way we Work
|
|
Go to the people
Live among them
Learn from them
Plan with them
Work with them
Start with what they know
Build with what they have
Teach by showing, learn by doing
Not a showcase, but a pattern
Not odds and ends but a system
Not piecemeal but integrated approach
Not to conform but to transform
Not relief but release
|

Helvetas Nepal
and its staff have adopted this credo from James Yen, the
founder of the Global Rural Reconstruction Movement, and bring
this into their daily work. |
